Asian markets face a major resilience test in the next few months. It’s unlikely to be business as usual in H2’26, and you never know where some of the risks will come from.

For CFOs in MNCs, the challenge will be anticipating and managing risk with suppliers, customers, and local business partners.

That’s the broad theme behind our Q2 Asia Forecast Update next month: resilience and realignment, and what it means for operations and opportunity across the region.

To kick off our forecasting week, we’re hosting an informal get-together for Asia CFOs in Singapore on June 5.

Richard Martin, our lead forecaster, will be joined by David W Y Koh, MD of Global Transaction Banking APAC at SMBC.

With a 30-year career in trade finance in Asia, David will talk about the markets and sectors where financing operations, especially trade, is becoming difficult.

Richard and David will open with brief remarks, followed by a peer discussion focused on:

  • Emerging pressure points in markets and sectors
  • Practical risk mitigation and resilience moves
  • How CFOs can position for the realignment of opportunities

The main benefit is the conversation: exchanging insights with other Asia CFOs who have experience across many industries and countries.

Our full Asia Q2 forecast updates will be held in Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Singapore in the following week.
